The Planning Board is an administrative board appointed by the Board of Selectpersons for staggered 5-year terms. They have the responsibility of reviewing all building and subdivision applications for conformance to all local land use regulations, as well as for conformance to State and Federal rules that may apply. The Board meets once a month, on the second Thursday at 6:30 p.m. at the Embden Town Office. All meetings are open to the public.
The Code Enforcement Officer serves as the first contact for information pertaining to planning board application requirements.
Please be sure when submitting an application to Terriann Lamontagne, the Code Enforcement Officer, that all the requirements have been submitted with the application including the minimum processing fee of $100.00 or $.25 per squar foot, the required number of copies of the application, and pictures. An incomplete application only delays the process. An application needs to be received by the CEO or the Town Clerk by the last Thursday of the month in order to be considered at the following month’s Planning Board meeting.
