Municipal Election for March 4, 2022

The following positions are elected during the Annual Town Meeting in March.

Qualifying signatures must come from registered voters in the Town of Embden. All nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk by the end of business day, January 4, 2022.

The Town of Embden is hiring for the position of ACO. (Animal Control Officer)

The position is paid a $500.00 a year stipend, plus $26.00 for the fist hour, $20.00 an hour every hour after that, as well as milage.

Resumes need to be turned into the town office by 2:00pm Friday October 1st.

Animal Control Officer Needed

The Town of Embden is accepting applications & resumes for the position of Animal Control Officer.

Animal Control Officer Certification will be required within 6 months of the date of hire, if not already obtained. Experience preferred but not required.

Applications are due by August 26th, 2021 no later than 6 pm.

Public Notice

The Town of Embden, Maine is seeking proposals from qualified individuals to secure a three-year contract for cleaning services for the Town Office building. Copies of the Proposal Forms are available at Embden Town Office, 809 Embden Pond Road, Embden ME, 04958 or via e-mail at embden-clerk@embden.org.

Proposals must be submitted to the Town Clerk at 809 Embden Pond Road, no later than 2:00 PM on August 4, 2021. Proposals must be clearly identified as “PROPOSALS FOR CLEANING SERVICES” and show the name and address of the submitting individual. Late proposals will not be considered. Proposals shall be opened and discussed in public at the regular Board of Selectman’s meeting on August 5, 2021. Any action on the proposal will be conducted at this time.

The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
