Holiday Office Hours

The Town Office will close at 2pm Christmas Eve and will be closed Christmas Day.

We will close at 12pm on New Year’s Eve and will be closed New Year’s Day.

The Code Officer will be out of the Office Thursday the 26th.

Nomination Papers Available

The following positions are elected during the Annual Town Meeting in March.  

Qualifying signatures must come from registered voters in the Town of Embden.

All nomination papers must be returned to the Town Clerk by the end of business day, 

 December 31, 2024.

Committee Members Needed

Dear Community Members,

  The Town of Embden is looking for individuals to serve on committees to assist the various Town Boards with necessary research, discussions, and negotiations needed to develop action plans for Embden’s prosperous future. Some potential committee examples are: Broadband Committee, Comprehensive Planning, RSU/School/Education Cost Assessment, Municipal Advisory Committee, Town Property Management/Contingency Planning, etc. Committee member candidates must be inhabitants of the Town of Embden and willing to be appointed by the Select Board.  Committee details/stipends to be determined. Selectboard Meetings are on the first Thursday of the month at 6:15 pm. • Selectboard Work Sessions occur every Thursday at 5:30 pm.
