NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING
To hear the proposed solar array application on the
Kennebec River Road in Embden
At the Embden Community Center
Thursday, June 18, 2026 @ 6:30 p.m.
Citizens of the Town of Embden,
This serves as the legal notice posting for a public hearing regarding a solar array proposed by Embden Solar, LLC on Kennebec River Road pursuant to the Town of Embden’s solar array ordinance Section 5, subsection 4 & 5 as follows:
- A public hearing shall be held prior to the issuance of any permit by the Planning Board. The developer and/or landowner shall notify all abutting landowners of the public hearing by certified mail, return receipt requested.
- An array shall not be constructed until the Solar Array Complex plan has been approved by the Planning Board and a Building Permit has been issued by the Planning Board and a Building Permit has been issued by the Planning Board and any applicable appeal period having passed without an appeal being filed.
