Public Notice
The Town of Embden, Maine is seeking proposals from qualified individuals to secure a three-year contract for cleaning services for the Town Office building. Copies of the Proposal Forms are available at Embden Town Office, 809 Embden Pond Road, Embden ME, 04958 or via e-mail at embden-clerk@embden.org.
Proposals must be submitted to the Town Clerk at 809 Embden Pond Road, no later than 2:00 PM on August 4, 2021. Proposals must be clearly identified as “PROPOSALS FOR CLEANING SERVICES” and show the name and address of the submitting individual. Late proposals will not be considered. Proposals shall be opened and discussed in public at the regular Board of Selectman’s meeting on August 5, 2021. Any action on the proposal will be conducted at this time.
The Town reserves the right to reject any and all proposals.
4th of July Hours

The Location for the RSU# 74 21-22 Budget Referendum on 6/8/2021 8 am – 8 pm has been moved from the Embden Community Center to the Embden Town Office.

The Town of Embden is currently accepting bids on the following properties:
Property # 1: 0.65-acre lot, more or less, map 020, lot 001. Minimum bid $20,000.00 Bids must be sealed in an envelope marked with the following, “Attn: Closed Real Estate Bid Property #1”.
Sealed bids will be accepted until 4 pm on June 16, 2021. All bids will be publicly opened & read aloud at the June 17th Selectperson’s Meeting at 6:15. Please include bank check for 10 percent of bid & stamped, self-addressed return envelope. The winner has 14 days to pay the balance. The town will issue a quitclaim deed, no covenants, no warranties. The winner will be responsible for paying the Transfer Tax and filing fees at the Registry of Deeds. The June 8th, 2021 School Budget Referendum will be held at the Embden Community from 8 am – 8 pm.
Absentee Ballots are available at the Town Office.
Board of Appeals Hearing Notice
The inhabitants of the Town of Embden are advised of a public hearing by the Board of Appeals to be held Tuesday, April 27, 2021 at 7PM at the Town Office. The Hearing is being held to hear a variance request within the shoreland zone.
