Municipal Officers’ Notice of Public Hearing

Notice is hereby given that the Municipal Officers of the Town of Embden will hold a public hearing on June 4, 2012 at 6 p.m. at the Embden Town Office in said Town to hear public comment on the following proposed amendment to Article 3 (Shoreline Zoning Districts) of the Town of Embden Shore land Zoning Ordinance, dated June 21, 2004:

3.3    LATERALLY-SPLIT DISTRICTS shall have a belt of Resource Protection District of specified depth inland from the shoreline, behind which there shall be Limited Recreational-Residential District for the balance of the 250’ depth inland.  Lots shall have a straight-line shore frontage of five hundred feet (500) two hundred feet (200) as a condition for construction or development within the Limited Recreational-Residential District sector.  There shall be two such Laterally-Split Districts.  The Seventy-Five Foot Laterally-Split District (75’ LSD) shall have a Resource Protection District belt extending 75’ inland.  The One Hundred Foot Laterally-Split District (100’ LSD) shall have a Resource Protection District belt extending 100’ inland.

And also to hear public comment on the following proposed warrant article:

To approve an exchange of easements with Nufer B. & Dona A. Bolmer pertaining to utility, pedestrian and vehicle access between the former Embden Elementary School (now the Community Center), and the current town office; and use by the Bolmers of either the current town office entrance or the former elementary school, now Embden Community Center highway entrance, for access to their land, all as specified in the easement deeds as drafted.

And also to hear public comment on the following proposed warrant article:

To accept land , as deeded from Maine-ly Trees, Inc. to the Inhabitants of the Town of Embden, as an addition to the existing right-of-way of the East Shore Road.

Pursuant to 30-A M.R.S.A. § 2528(5), we have this day, being at least 13 days before the hearing, notified the Inhabitants of said Town of a public hearing, to be held at the time and place, and for the purposes stated above, by posting a copy of said notice at the following public and conspicuous places in and around said Town:  the Embden Town Office, the Embden Community Center, and the North Anson Post Office.
